Alibaba and Falz took to their social media pages, to react to report of a Nigerian company based in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun manufacturing armoured personnel carriers for Nigerian Police and Army with massive local contents from the scratch.
Twitter user @ovieali who shared the report, had tweeted;
This is a Nigerian company in Ijebu-Ode,manufacturing the some of the best Armoured Personnel Carriers for Nigeria Police and Army,with massive local contents from scratch. The Govt in Ogun bought 15 for the police. Industrialisation is the only pathway for prosperity in Nigeria.
Reacting to this Alibaba wrote; ‘Bit by bit…’
Falz on the other hand wrote ‘This is the Nigeria we want to see. More emphasis on “made in Nigeria”
Few days ago it was reported that Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, said the Nigerian Army needs N1billion to boost capacity of its vehicle manufacturing company to produce more combat vehicles, which will help to counter terrorists and other insurgents.
Nigeria has recently been bedeviled by different forms of insurgencies: Boko Haram, kidnapping, armed banditry, armed robbery and cattle rustling. But demonstration of locally-made bullet proof ballistic vest, NA Armoured Light Tactical Vehicle and mine sweeper produced by the Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company (NAVMC) showed that the military will soon be better equipped to stem the challenge.
